Showing more options
To reveal additional settings for the Booking Widget, follow these steps:
- Go to Manage > Integrations > Website Integrations > Booking Widget.
- Click the Show more options link to open the advanced settings section.
- The system expands the page to display Background color, End Date, Tracking ID, System Language, Customer Language, and Helper file settings.
Choosing a background color
Just like the Font Color set at the top of the page, you can also select a color for the background of your booking portal. The default color is white (#ffffff), but if you feel adventurous, you can select a different color.
- Go to Manage > Integrations > Website Integrations > Booking Widget.
- Select a color from the Background color using the color picker.
Specifying a default booking end date
The End Date setting lets you specify the default end date in the generated widget. Operators most commonly use this setting with the (start) Date setting to create a booking span. If you don't specify a start date, the system uses today's date.
- Go to Manage > Integrations > Website Integrations > Booking Widget.
- Enter or select an End Date using the calendar date picker.
For example, if you choose June 1st as the Start Date and June 10th as the End Date, those dates are selected by default in the calendar, creating a ten-day booking span. Customers can select a different start or end date, but the system continues to enforce the ten-day limit.
|
Consider setting date restrictions at the item or product level instead This setting does not configure the last day a Customer can book! In most cases, we do not recommend setting an End Date. It is best to configure booking date restrictions at the item or product level: |
Adding a Tracking ID
A Tracking ID is simply a code that you can add to the Booking Widget for future reference. The ID code appears on your invoices, so you know where the booking originated. This feature is great for tracking advertising campaigns and similar activities.
- Go to Manage > Integrations > Website Integrations > Booking Widget.
- Enter your Tracking ID in the field of the same name.

- Open the System Language dropdown.
- An additional dropdown menu displays if you use Customer Languages. From here, you can choose which of your multiple Customer languages is selected by default on the Booking Page.

Downloading the helper file
The Booking Widget is fully responsive. Some older browsers may have difficulty resizing the window. You can download a Helper file from Checkfront to upload to your Web server. The same Web server that hosts your Booking Page.
The helper file helps in sizing and performance in older Web browsers!
- Go to Manage > Integrations > Website Integrations > Booking Widget.
- Download the Helper file using the Download link at the bottom of the page.
- Enter the Helper file URL where you have hosted the file so the system can find it.
