Setting up Windcave as your Checkfront payment provider

PSD2 and SCA compliant  To be Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) compliant, Checkfront is prepared to handle any transactions that the Payment Provider deems applicable via the PXPay (Redirect Method) only. Checkfront no longer supports the PXPost (Integrated) method in the European Union (EU)/European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK. To access the Windcave integration setup:

1. Log in to your Checkfront account.
2. Navigate to Manage in the main menu.
3. Select Ecommerce Setup from the Manage menu to ensure the Payment tab is active.
4. Locate the Windcave tile.
5. Select it to open the integration settings.

An active Windcave account is required Before continuing, please ensure you have an active Windcave account, which is required to activate the Payment Provider. You can apply for one here if you don't yet have a Windcave account. Once your account is set up and ready, you can continue reading the document below.

When you sign up for an account with Windcave, they give you the credentials to connect your Checkfront account with the Windcave API - a PxPay User ID and a PxPay Key. Enter both values in the provided fields and click the blue Activate button to activate the integration.

With the setup described above, Customers are redirected to a Windcave payment page when paying for their booking.

To use Checkfront's built-in payment form, you must do the following:

1. Activate the PxPost API through Windcave. If you need assistance with this, contact their support team.
2. To use this feature, you need a different set of API credentials. In the activation window, replace the PxPay User ID and PxPay Key with your PxPost Username and Password, as seen above.
3. Check the box labelled Use Px Post API (Integrated Billing) in the above activation window.

If you wish to use your system as an Authorize Only platform, check the box in the activation window. This configuration verifies the card details and authorizes the transaction, allowing you to process the payment when the Customer arrives at your location.
