We recently upgraded how Checkfront handles payments through Worldline. Your credit card data is now processed using secure tokenization, which means card details never touch our servers directly. It's a significant security improvement. To keep your payments running smoothly, you need to update your Worldline API Key. Here's what to do:

Setting up Worldline in Checkfront

1. Accessing Bambora within Ecommerce Setup
From the Ecommerce Setup page (Manage > Ecommerce Setup > Payment), browse or search for Bambora (Worldline). We list the Payment Provider under those available to your region.
Click the Bambora (Worldline) tile to open the Add-on Setup modal.
2. Configuring settings within the Add-on Setup Modal
Enter your Bambora (Worldline) merchant account details in the fields provided in the Add-on Setup modal.
Merchant ID
In the Merchant ID field, enter your Worldline Merchant ID as found in your Worldline account.
Bambora Username
In the Username field, enter the username you set up for use in Worldline (formerly Bambora).
Bambora Password
In the Password field, enter the password you have set up for use in Worldline (formerly Bambora).
Hash Key
In the Hashkey field, enter the Hashkey found within your Worldline account.
Enable Interac Online
Choose the Enable Interac Online option if you want to accept INTERACĀ® Online through Checkfront, facilitated by the Worldline service.
Interac Merchant ID
In the Interac Merchant ID field, enter your ID as it appears in your Worldline account.
API Access Passcode
You can find your API Access Passcode in your Bambora Portal:
- Go to Order Settings (Administration > Account Settings > Order Settings).
- Select Security/Authentication.
- Note your API Access Passcode.
- Enter your passcode in the API Access Passcode field in Checkfront (Ecommerce Setup > Payment > Bambora).
Using the test environment
Worldline offers two merchant accounts: a Production account and a Test account. We recommend testing your checkout end-to-end with a Test account before switching to your Production account and going live.

Requiring card security codes
| Canada (and Worldline) has made Card Security Codes (CVV, CVV2, CVD, CVC...) mandatory for all card-not-present transactions, so the related setting Require CVC's for staff payments (Manage > Ecommerce Setup > Settings) has been disabled. You now require Credit Security Codes for all Staff-side payments. |
Enabling Worldline & Stripe

Primary and secondary provider If you turn on Worldline with Stripe, Stripe is considered the Primary provider, and Worldline is a Secondary provider, used for debit transactions only. You must also configure Worldline with the Enable Interac Online option enabled (with a valid Interac Merchant ID) to fully turn on the secondary provider. |
