Showcasing Your Checkfront Inventory in Site Builder
You've created an inventory of items in Checkfront so now it's time to share it with the World! But what's the best way to do that? Well, perhaps there isn't a best way, but there are certainly multiple ways from which you can choose when designing your Site Builder website.
Item Page
Back to topThe first way to showcase your inventory that we're going to look at is an item page. Clicking on the Inventory link in your main navigation bar will take the user to an unorganized list of your inventory items as configured in Checkfront. If you've used the category filter in your site design, the user can then drill down through your inventory by selecting one or more categories.
If you'd like to showcase an item individually, you can do so by using the menu bar in a slightly different way. In this case, you can create a link in the menu bar that will navigate the user directly to an item page.

In this example, we've created a Submenu labelled Featured Items. This submenu then contains links to three items we want to draw the user's attention to. When selecting one of the items, the user will be taken directly to that page. When adding a link to the menu you would select Item as the link type and then choose the specific one you'd like to use from the Destination drop-down.

Category Page
Back to topIn just the same way we showcased an individual item above, the same can be done for an individual category. When you first activate your Site Builder site, it comes with a link to your categories in the main menu bar at the top of your page. If it's not there, you will need to add it to your navigation bar. This will display all your categories.
If, however, you would like to link to a specific category, you can do so by creating a direct link in the menu bar. When adding a link to the menu you would select Category as the link type and then choose the specific one you'd like to use from the Destination drop-down.

Inventory Block
Back to topThe Inventory Block is a type of content block. You can add these to your pages to showcase a particular item or series of items from your Checkfront account.

It's a great way to show off your best rooms or feature the items you might have on sale that week. You are limited to the number of content blocks that can be added to a page, so use them wisely. Showcasing one or two items at most, per page, will get the best out of your content.
