About NutshellBack to top
Nutshell is a hosted third-party Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application. Nutshell is extremely easy to integrate with Checkfront and requires just a few simple steps to get you started.
Nutshell is found within your Checkfront add-ons and provides the ability to automatically create new leads and contacts, or update existing ones when a booking is created via Checkfront.
Setup in NutshellBack to top
In order to link Checkfront to Nutshell, you must enter some API details from Nutshell into your Checkfront account.
Once you've created your account with Nutshell, log in and click the plus (+) icon and then Import in the left-hand side menu.
From there, you see a comprehensive menu, separated into various categories. The last category, Connection, has a menu item labelled API keys. Click on this.
If you've been using Nutshell for a while, then you may have created other API keys in the past. If this is the case, then you see them listed on this page. Go ahead and click on the Add API key link.
In the pop-up box, enter a Name for the API key you are about to create. Something simple like Checkfront is fine.
Next, choose API access from the Permissions field and then click the green New API key button to complete the API key creation.
Your new API key is now displayed on the page. Click on it to open another pop-up box that allows you to copy the API key in its entirety.
Once you've copied the alpha-numeric string of characters, head back over to your Checkfront dashboard.
