Zoho CRM is a hosted Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application, part of the (much) larger Zoho Suite. Zoho CRM is a popular low-cost alternative to Salesforce.
This Add-on provides the ability to automatically create new leads and contacts, or update existing ones in Zoho when a booking is created via Checkfront.
The Add-on can automatically create a new event or note within Zoho and attach to it the Booking Summary. If you are an existing Zoho user, this will ensure your customer records are kept in sync, and you can take full advantage of the many customer management tools of Zoho CRM.
Suppliers who have the Zoho CRM Add-on V1 activated (prior to December 2019) will need to update to the latest version (V2) by December 31, 2019, in order to continue using the Zoho CRM Add-on.
If for some reason, you miss the deadline and update after December 31, 2019, your bookings won't be interrupted, but you will have to manually sync those bookings with Zoho. You can do this by following these steps...
Setup in CheckfrontBack to top
Log in to your Checkfront account, navigate to Manage > Add-ons, then select the Zoho CRM tile and click Setup to open the Add-on Setup modal.
From the Add-on Setup modal, review the following settings.

The Location defaults to the Location of your Checkfront account and should correspond to your Zolo account Location.
Migration of Locations
If Zoho are able to successfully move your Zoho account's virtual location, you will need to return to the Zoho CRM Add-on Setup page to select the Location that matches your updated account.

In the Module field, select whether your Customers should be added to Zoho as Contacts or Leads.
- AttachmentBack to top
In the Attachment field, you can choose the information you wish to attach a Note or Event. For most people, this will probably be Event. Selecting this will add the booking details to your Zoho contact as an open activity.
- Overwrite Existing Records During Booking CreationBack to top
Below these fields, you will see a checkbox labeled Overwrite existing records during booking creation.
Here's an example of how it functions if you were to select it...
A Guest makes a booking and includes their phone number which syncs to Zoho as a contact. The Guest later makes another booking, only this time, they include their new phone number. If the overwrite option is enabled, it will sync the new information and overwrite the previous Zoho contact details, updating the record in Zoho.
Without this setting enabled, there cannot be any updating of contacts, leads, events or notes after the initial record creation. We recommend you check this option.
Once you've made your selections, click the Activate button to complete the setup. You will then be taken to the Zoho website to complete the authentication process and authorize Checkfront to access your data.
