Ecommerce setup payment overview
Back to topThe Ecommerce Setup page of your account is split into three main sections: Payment, Settings, and Taxes.
By default, Checkfront operates in Reservation Only mode. This means no payment is required for a Customer to complete a booking. This is the simplest setup as it requires no third-party payment processing.
You must first enable a payment provider to take advantage of real-time payment processing. Checkfront integrates with many popular payment providers, including Checkfront Payments, Stripe, and Paypal Checkout.
You can enable a payment provider directly under the Payment tab (Manage > Ecommerce Setup) in your Checkfront dashboard.
Let's take a closer look at the Payment tab.
Which payment providers are available also depends on your plan.

Managing your active providers
Back to topThe Active Providers category lists any activated payment providers. In most cases, you have a single primary payment provider.
Some combinations of payment providers support a secondary payment provider. These are identified by the plus (+) icon in the top-right corner of the payment provider tile.
This is helpful if you need to use one payment provider for your online payments and another for your in-person payments processed Staff-side.
