About Bongloy
Bongloy is a Cambodian Payment Provider and offers local settlement, making it available to Cambodian businesses that don't have an overseas bank account. Bongloy customers are mostly in the tourism business, and Cambodia is becoming an increasingly popular destination for tourists.
Setting up Bongloy in Checkfront
Back to topTo enable Bongloy, log in to your Checkfront account and navigate to Manage > Ecommerce Setup, ensuring the Payment tab is selected.
Here you will see a list of available payment modules. Locate the Bongloy tile from the list.
You find it by clicking on the links in the left side menu labelled Available to [your country] or All. You can also search for the Bongloy tile directly in the provided search box.
Hover over the tile, which turns grey, and click.
This opens the Bongloy activation window, as pictured above. Here, you must input your Bongloy Live Secret Key.
Setting up your Bongloy account
Back to topHead over to your account at Bongloy to obtain your Live Secret Key. After logging in, you will find the key located under the Account Settings menu.
Scroll down to the section labelled API Keys.
Here, you will see two red boxes labelled Live Secret Key. That's the one you want. Select the key highlighted below, and copy it to your computer's clipboard.
Back to the Checkfront Booking Manager and paste the key into the provided field.
Once you've done that, click the blue Activate button. That's it. Setup is now complete!
Using test mode (sandbox)
Back to topIt's highly recommended that you do an end-to-end test of your check-out process before putting your site live. To do so, follow the setup instructions above and check Sandbox/demo mode.
When using sandbox mode, use the Test Secret Key instead. This can be found alongside your Live Secret Key in the Bongloy settings screen.
Create a transaction as a customer and check to see that it shows up in your Checkfront account as paid and within Bongloy.
If you don’t have a website to test on, then use the hosted booking page (e.g. https://yourcompany.checkfront.com/reserve/) to test.
