Not Supported in European Union (EU)
This Payment Provider will no longer be supported by Checkfront for accounts in the European Union once PSD2/SCA is enforced on September 14, 2019, as the provider is not yet compliant.
Quickpay is a Payment Provider that supports a variety of currencies, most commonly the Danish kroner, Euro, Swedish kroner, Norwegian kroner, and the US Dollar. There are no setup fees and they offer competitive rates. Checkfront currently integrates with Quickpay by way of their direct payment API. This keeps customers on your booking page while making a payment and allows them to pay in part or in full at the time of booking.
Quickpay SetupBack to top
After creating an account with Quickpay, you'll need to obtain the following credentials which will then be entered into your account at Checkfront.
1) QuickPayID: Merchant ID found at Settings > Integration in your Quickpay Manager.
2) API Key: found at Settings > Integration in your Quickpay Manager. Click the key icon to view.
3) API Secret: Private key found at Settings > Integration in your Quickpay Manager. Click the key icon to view.
Make sure API user is selected from the dropdown menu just above your credentials. To view the API Key and Private Key, click on the key icon next to each. A small pop-up window will appear containing the alpha-numeric sequence of numbers which makes up the key. Copy this to your clipboard and paste it into the relevant field at Checkfront. See below for more details.
Finally, go to Settings > Merchant and select Checkfront from the Shopsystem field.

To enable the Quickpay extension, login to your Checkfront account and navigate to the Manage > E-Commerce screen. From there, click on the link to show the Payment Providers available to your country.
Quickpay isn't available to Canada, which is where we are, so in the example above, the Payment Providers can be found under the options not available to Canada. Make sure you have enabled payment processing and configured any applicable taxes and e-commerce settings in the Manage > E-Commerce section of Checkfront. After clicking on the Quickpay tile, enter the credentials you obtained from the Quickpay Manager.
Click Activate to complete the setup process. You will now see Quickpay listed in the left sidebar as an active Payment Provider. You will also see the Payment Provider displayed at the top of the list with a green enabled label. To make changes to the credentials you have entered, or to disable the Payment Provider, click on the blue Setup button.
Test ModeBack to top
It's highly recommended that you do an end-to-end test of your checkout before putting your site live. You'll want to create a transaction as a customer and check to see that it shows up in your Checkfront account as paid and within Quickpay. If you don't have a website to test on yet, use the hosted booking page (eg: https://yourcompany.checkfront.com/reserve/) to test. You can change the status of your account in Quickpay under "Settings" > "Gateway mode" in the menu.
