About QuickPay
Not Supported in European EU/EEA, or the UK This Payment Provider is no longer supported by Checkfront for accounts in the European Union (EU)/European Economic Area (EEA), or the UK. |
QuickPay is a Payment Provider that supports a variety of currencies, most commonly the Danish kroner, Euro, Swedish kroner, Norwegian kroner, and the US Dollar. There are no setup fees, and they offer competitive rates.
Checkfront currently integrates with QuickPay by way of its direct payment API. This keeps customers on your booking page while making a payment and allows them to pay in part or in full at the time of booking.
Setting up QuickPay
Back to topAfter creating an account with QuickPay, you'll need to obtain the following credentials, which will be entered into your account at Checkfront.
1) QuickPayID: Merchant ID found at Settings > Integration in your QuickPay Manager.
2) API Key: found at Settings > Integration in your QuickPay Manager. Click the key icon to view.
3) API Secret: Private key found at Settings > Integration in your QuickPay Manager. Click the key icon to view.
Make sure API user is selected from the dropdown menu just above your credentials. To view the API Key and Private Key, click on the key icon next to each. A small pop-up window containing the alpha-numeric sequence of numbers that makes up the key displays.
Copy this to your clipboard and paste it into the relevant field at Checkfront. See below for more details.
Finally, go to Settings > Merchant and select Checkfront from the Shopsystem field.
Setting up QuickPay in Checkfront
Back to topTo enable QuickPay, log in to your Checkfront account and navigate to Manage > Ecommerce Setup, ensuring the Payment tab is selected.
Here you see a list of available payment modules. Locate the QuickPay tile from the list.
You find it by clicking on the links in the left side menu labelled Available to [your country] or All. You can also search for the QuickPay tile directly in the provided search box.
Hover over the tile, which turns grey, and click.
This opens the QuickPay activation window, as pictured above. From here, enter the API credentials you obtain within your QuickPay account and click Activate.
QuickPay is now successfully integrated with your Checkfront account and is listed under your section of Active Providers.
Also, ensure you have enabled payment processing and configured any applicable taxes and ecommerce settings in the Manage > Ecommerce Setup section of Checkfront.
Test Mode
Back to topIt's highly recommended that you do an end-to-end test of your checkout before putting your site live.
You'll want to create a transaction as a customer and check to see that it shows up in your Checkfront account as paid and within QuickPay. If you don't have a website to test on, use the hosted booking page (e.g., https://yourcompany.checkfront.com/reserve/) to test.
You can change the status of your account in QuickPay under "Settings" > "Gateway mode" in the menu.
