Having problems logging in to your Checkfront STAFF-side account? Don't worry, we can help with that!
Logging in requires three pieces of information...
- Your account URL (address of your account/login page)
- Your Login ID or Email address
- Your Password
This article will cover looking up your Staff Account URL, retrieving your Password, as well as...logging in!
Are you a Guest trying to book with a Business?
Please ensure /reserve is appended to the business's Account URL. This will take you directly to the Customer Booking page for the account, for example:
Also, the business should have a link to reserve on their website (along with lots of other valuable information), so check there first! Simply do a keyword search through Google or check social media accounts for the business. Learn more here.
Are you a new Administrator taking over an account from a past Administrator and having difficulty logging in?
For privacy and security reasons, we cannot reset the password of an Administrator's account on the request of another Staff User or someone who is not associated with the account. Please try to have the Administrator whose email is associated with the account, reset the password. If you are still unable to gain access, then please contact Technical Support and we can explore options with you.
Usernames are case-sensitive, so make sure you are using upper and lower case letters where appropriate and that your caps lock key is not on!
Your Account URL
To get started, navigate to your Account URL (login page). Your Account URL will be something like: thelondonexperience.checkfront.com. Got it? If so, please see the section on Logging In below for next steps.
Don't know your URL? Simply follow these steps to look up your account.
If the system remembers you (via cookies), you should be presented with the Log In form. See the section on Logging In below for next steps.
If your cookies have been cleared from your browser, you will be presented with the Welcome Back! form. Please enter your Email Address to retrieve your Account URL.
Then, click Look Up. This will return the Account URL associated with the Email Address.
Once found, the URL will display above the Look Up field. Click on the link to open your login page. Next, we will try logging in!
If we are unable to find an account associated with the Email Address entered, then please Technical Support for help. We can help you sort that out!
When you navigate to your account Account URL via a desktop or mobile browser, the login page displays (if you are not already logged in).
Simply, enter your Email Address or Username, then Password into the appropriate fields and then click on the blue Log In button to access your account.
Failed Login AttemptsIf you're not sure of your login credentials, you will have 6 attempts to try and access your account. If you fail to gain access, you will need to wait for a period of 30 minutes before you are able to try again, at which point you will receive another 6 attempts. Alternatively, you can click on the Forgot Password? link to change your password, as described below. This will enable you to create a password you can remember and avoid the 30 minute waiting period.
Keep Me Logged InBack to top
You'll notice an option in the login window to Keep Me Logged In.
If you check this box, your web browser will remember your login for 5 days and sign you in automatically on your return.
If you log in again on days 1-3, the system will reset and remember you for another 5 days.
If you log in on days 4-5, the system will not reset and you will need to log in again on day 6.
Forgot PasswordBack to top
If you have forgotten your Password, you can reset your Password using the Forgot Password? link at under the Password field. Learn more in the next article in this series.
If you have forgotten or are having issues with the Email Address associated with the account, please contact support.
Two-Factor AuthenticationBack to top
After entering your Login ID / Email and Password were you prompted for a six-digit code? This is an extra level of security enabled on your account. Learn more here.
Google Apps Login (G Suite SSO)Back to top
There are two options, if you would like to offer single sign-on using Google through our Google Apps Authentication (G Suite SSO) add-on.
- Google Apps Login OnlyBack to top
If you are using Google Apps Authentication (G Suite SSO) and have turned off the traditional Checkfront login, you will be automatically signed in and redirected to your Checkfront dashboard. If this does not happen, login to your Google and then return to Checkfront and try again.
- Google Apps or Checkfront LoginBack to top
If you have activated Google Apps Authentication (G Suite SSO) and chosen to offer the traditional Checkfront email/username and password login option, when arriving at the login screen, you will be presented with both options.
If you click on the Google option and are already signed into Google, you will be signed in and redirected to your dashboard.
Alternatively, you may sign in with your Checkfront Login ID and Password, as described earlier in this document. For more on Google Apps Authentication (G Suite SSO), click here.
Mobile Apps LoginBack to top
If you are logging in via our Mobile Apps for iOS or Android, you'll need to provide the same credentials as in the web app, along with your Checkfront unique URL (e.g. demo.checkfront.com).
|If you have Google Apps Authentication (G Suite SSO) connected and it's configured for Google Login only, you will still need to sign in to the mobile app using the traditional Checkfront Username (Login ID/Email Address) and Password. The mobile app does not currently support Google Apps Authentication (G Suite SSO) login, at this time.|
