Locate: As soon as you sign in! You can also access the Dashboard by selecting the Checkfront logo in your account (top left).
Prerequisites: Both accounts with Admin permissions and Staff Accounts with restricted permissions have access to the Dashboard.
- Restricted accounts must have permission to Create Bookings, in order to see and use the New Booking button.
- The permission Manage Bookings must be enabled for restricted accounts in order to interact with the Bookings widget. Otherwise, this is a read-only widget.

The Dashboard is the central hub of your Checkfront account and the first screen you arrive at after logging in. It provides ready access to the most important and up-to-date information on your business. You can also access the Dashboard at any time by clicking on the Checkfront logo in the top left of your screen.
The Dashboard layout is saved on a per-account basis. Each Staff Member of your team can configure the Dashboard to display the information that is most important to them. Also, some widgets may not be available, depending on the Staff Member's permissions setting.

The Dashboard & WidgetsBack to top
The Dashboard is made up of Widgets. Widgets are generally a summarized view of another area in the system. In Checkfront's case, this information is displayed in tiles, as shown in the screenshot below. You can add, remove and re-arrange your Widgets as needed.
Creating a new bookingBack to top
Create a new booking from your Dashboard by selecting the New Booking button. This can also be done from Booking > New Booking.
Users must have the Create Bookings permission enabled to create a new booking from the Dashboard. For more information on user permissions, see Staff Accounts: Permissions.
Adding a WidgetBack to top
To add more Widgets, click the + Add Widget button in the top right corner of the Dashboard view.
Select a new Widget from the options provided by clicking on the Widget name. The new Widget will automatically be placed below your other Widgets.
You can move a Widget to a new position by clicking and holding the mouse button down on its title and by dragging it into place. You can also resize a Widget, as described below!
Removing a WidgetBack to top
To remove a Widget, click on the 'X' icon in the top right corner of the Widget itself.
Full-Screen WidgetBack to top
Next to the Widget removal button, is the full-screen button. This enables you to launch the report, in full-screen mode, to which the information in the Widget pertains.
To return to the normal view, simply click on the back (<-) button in your browser.
Only Widgets that have a page in the Checkfront application can be viewed in full-screen.
Resizing a WidgetBack to top
You can resize your Widget by clicking and dragging the bottom-right corner. The space that the Widget will take over will be highlighted as blue. You can always resize your Widgets again, if needed.

Daily Management: Bookings
A detailed list of new, current and upcoming Bookings.
You can change the status of each booking directly from the Bookings Widget, as well as Check In, or Check Out the booking.
If a user does not have permission to Manage Bookings, this will be a read-only view. For more information on user permissions, see Staff Accounts: Permissions.
Daily Management: Booking Log
A view at all Booking Logs, which can be filtered by a Date span or by Status.
Daily Management: Customer Calendar
Bookings for the next week based on the Customer name.
Daily Management: Booking Calendar
Monthly Booking Calendar showing numbers booked for each day. Please note, this Widget does not include bookings that do not have a locked status. To include these numbers, please refer to the Customer Calendar Widget.

Bookings by Inventory.
Reports: Bookings & Website Visitor
A combined chart that shows the number of bookings created, and visitors to your booking page.
Reports: Booking Volume
A combined chart that shows the number of bookings created in each month, quantity booked, and monthly sales for the selected months.
For example, if you had 10 bookings in January of 2020, and 3 were Cancelled. These bookings are no longer counted, and the Booking Volume will show as 7.
Reports: Revenue by Month
The last 12 months of Revenue, by Month (based on transactions) (chart).
Reports: Commission by Month
A graph showing the number of commissionable bookings per month, for the past 12 months, with the number of paid commissions versus the number still owed. Please note, the revenue chart is based on actual, completed transactions.
Bookings must have a Status ID, other than PRE-Booking. As such, any bookings that have not been completed, will not be shown in the Activity Log.
Reports: Bookings by Month
Number of Bookings over the last 12 months, by Month (chart).
Reports: Bookings by Item & Category
A pie chart showing the percentage of Bookings by either your Items or Categories.
