Providing detailed descriptions for your products

With this article, you can learn how to provide a description of your product within the Details tab of the Product Builder.

Where can I find this feature using the top menu?

Inventory > Products > Products > Add Product/Add New Product/Edit Product > Details

What more do I need to use this feature?

Which Checkfront version supports this feature - classic, new or both?

  • Your account must have access to products (Inventory > Products), a key feature of our new version of Checkfront. This feature is not available for use with items (Inventory > Items) in our classic version. → Learn more about products. 
     

 

Providing a detailed description of your product

Details Tab Details

Provide a brief description of your product offering for the Customer Booking Page.

Use our editor to format the description for display. Format the text using the options provided (format, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, lists, link, line, align, size, text colour) or work with HTML code (<>).

When pasting existing text into the text editor, the formatting is sometimes carried over.

There are two ways to remedy this if the behaviour is not wanted:

  1. When you copy text from a different document, paste it into an external text editor and then paste this “plain text” into the Checkfront editor. This removes any of the font types or size styles attached.
  2. You can remove carried-over text styles from within your current editor by directly editing the HTML as needed from the editor’s <> menu button.
