Troubleshooting inventory availability
Are you having trouble with your inventory not displaying as you expect on the booking page? Inventory display issues may have multiple causes. Choose from the following list of possible causes to view the steps to help resolve the problem:
- Products: Products are not activated
- Items/Products: Availability events are misconfigured
- Items/Products: Closure events are misconfigured
- Items/Products: Booking rules are misconfigured
- Items/Products: Add-ons or upsells are misconfigured
- Items/Products: Visibility is misconfigured
- Items/Products: Category status is misconfigured
- Items: Calendar status is misconfigured
- Items: Aliased items are causing unexpected issues

Products: Products are not activated
Products must be activated before they're visible to Staff or Customers on the booking page.
If you're using products, follow these steps to check activation:
- Go to Products (Inventory > Products).
- Choose the product you want to view.
- Confirm if the Draft status label is present.
- Click the Activate Product button to activate your product if it's in draft status.
- Check your product availability on the booking page again.

Items/Products: Availability events are misconfigured
Availability events may affect inventory availability unexpectedly if they're incorrectly configured. For example, if the start and/or end date is incorrect.
If you're using items, follow these steps to check your availability event configuration:

- Review any active seasonal and special events and adjust them as needed.

Items/Products: Add-ons or upsells are misconfigured
Attaching items or products to other inventory as packages or upsells can unexpectedly affect inventory availability if the configuration is misconfigured. For example, if a package or upsell is set as Required, it must have availability, or the main item or product may be unavailable for booking.
If you're using items, follow these steps to check packages:
- Go to Inventory (Inventory > Items).
- Choose the item you want to view and click the Packages tab.
- Review any attached packages in the Item Add-Ons section and adjust as needed, including any custom date settings.
- Check your item availability on the booking page again.

Visibility impacts whether Customers can see inventory on the booking page. For example, if you have set an item to Staff-only, it is only visible on the Staff booking page, not on the Customer booking page.

- Choose the item you want to view and click the Attributes tab.
- Review the Item Visibility section and adjust the visibility as needed.

The category status may affect inventory availability unexpectedly if it's incorrectly configured. For example, if a category is set to Hidden status, the inventory in that category is only visible on the Staff booking page, not on the Customer booking page.
If you're using products or items, follow these steps to check category status:
- Go to Categories (Inventory > Categories).
- Choose the category name you want to view.
- Open the Status dropdown menu and adjust the selection as needed.
- Check your item/product availability on the booking page again.

Items: Calendar status is misconfigured
The default calendar status may affect item inventory availability unexpectedly if it's incorrectly configured. For example, if the calendar status is Disabled, the item does not show on the Staff or Customer booking page.
If you're using items, follow these steps to check the default calendar status:
- Go to Inventory (Inventory > Items).
- Choose the item you want to view and click the Pricing tab.
- Review the Default Calendar Status section and adjust the calendar status as needed. Note that Unavailable items must have attached availability events to appear on the booking page.
- Check your item availability on the booking page again.

Items: Aliased items are causing unexpected issues
Linking together two or more items using aliasing may cause unexpected availability issues with the related items.
If you're using items, follow these steps to check aliasing:
- Go to Inventory (Inventory > Items).
- Choose the item you want to view and click the Attributes tab.
- Review any active aliasing in the Alias To section and adjust as needed.
- Check your item availability on the booking page again.
