Assigning colors to product categories and products
Assign predefined colors to products and product categories to visually differentiate offerings.
Assigning colors to product categories
Follow these steps to assign a predefined color to a product category:
- Go to the Categories area (Products > Categories).
- Select an existing product category or create a new category.
- Open the Color drop-down menu.

Choose a color for your category.
The predefined color choices are None, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Teal, Sky, Blue, Violet, Fuchsia, Pink, and Gray. The None color choice is the system default.
All products under a category inherit the assigned category color unless a product has a specific color assigned directly. - Select the Update button to save your changes.

View the Color column in the categories index, which updates to show your selected category color.
You can also apply a predefined color by clicking the circle in the Color column beside a category name to open the color menu.
Assigning colors to products
Follow these steps to assign a predefined color to a product:
- Go to the Products area (Products > Products).
- Select an existing product or create a new product.
- Select the Details tab.
- Open the Color drop-down menu.

Choose a color for your product.
The predefined color choices are None (inherit from category), None, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Teal, Sky, Blue, Violet, Fuchsia, Pink, and Gray. The None (inherit from category) color choice is the system default unless an inherited category color is previously assigned.
A color assigned directly to a product or selecting None overrides any inherited category color. - Select the Save button to save your changes.
