About Windcave
Back to topWindcave (formerly Payment Express) is a Visa and MasterCard-certified solution popular in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Windcave facilitates seamless eCommerce, retail, and unattended transactions for customers worldwide. Certified with all the major credit card schemes and PCI DSS compliant, Windcave provides innovative end-to-end payment solutions ensuring your transactions are safe, smooth, and secure.
|
PSD2 and SCA compliant To be Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) compliant, Checkfront is prepared to handle any transactions that the Payment Provider deems applicable via the PXPay (Redirect Method) only. The PXPost (Integrated) method is no longer supported by Checkfront in the European Union (EU)/European Economic Area (EEA), or the UK. These measures help reduce fraud and make online payments more secure! Learn more about PSD2 and SCA here... |
Setting up in Checkfront
Back to topTo enable the Windcave integration, log in to your Checkfront account, navigate to Manage, and then Ecommerce Setup, ensuring the Payment tab is active.
Locate the Windcave tile and select it to open the integration settings.
Using the Redirect Method
Back to topBefore continuing, ensure you have an active Windcave account, which is required to activate the Payment Provider in Checkfront.
You can apply for one here if you don't yet have a Windcave account.
Once you have an account set up and ready, continue reading the document below.
Entering your credentials
When you sign up for an account with Windcave, you are given the credentials to connect your Checkfront account with the Windcave API - a PxPay User ID and a PxPay Key. Enter both of these in the provided fields and click the blue Activate button.
With the setup described above, Customers are redirected to a Windcave payment page when paying for their booking.
Using integrated billing
Back to topTo use Checkfront's built-in payment form, you must activate the PxPost API through Windcave. Contact their support team if you're unsure where to obtain these credentials.
Once done, check the box labelled Use Px Post API (Integrated Billing) in the activation window.
A different set of API credentials are required to use this feature. Replace the PxPay User ID and PxPay Key with your PxPost Username and Password in the activation window, as seen above.
Using authorize only
Back to topIf you wish to use your system as an Authorize Only platform, check the box in the activation window. This verifies the card details and authorizes the transaction, allowing you to process the payment when the Customer arrives at your location.
