Disabling the customer-facing reserve page
Back to topYou can select this option to disable the Customer-facing reserve page.
This means that the hosted Customer Booking Page (Customer > Customer Booking Page) and website-embedded Booking Widget (Manage > Integrations) are not available.
You can only make bookings through the back end of the Checkfront API (Enterprise plans only).
Also, you can choose to Restrict Staff/Partner Bookings by Category. If checked, you can then select the categories that are available for booking when configuring Staff accounts.
Enforcing HTTPS on the reserve page
Back to topTo increase security and provide your Customers with a higher level of confidence, you can enforce HTTPS on your Customer Booking Page (Customer > Customer Booking Page).
If you are embedding the Booking Widget (Manage > Integrations), then you are required to place it on a page that is also secured. You need a valid HTTPS certificate on your website for this to work. This option is turned on (checked) automatically for new trial accounts.

Checkfront Tip: What does HTTPS mean?Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website you are connected to. The 'S' at the end of HTTPS stands for 'Secure.' It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted. |
