What Customer blocklist options are available?
Back to topThere may be occasions when you want to prevent a previous Customer from booking again. While Checkfront does not provide a blocklist function, you can consider these alternatives.
Requiring Customer accounts for bookings
Back to topOne way is to require Customers to create Customer accounts to book. You can then archive the account of any problem Customer.
While this does not prevent a Customer from providing different details in a future booking, it does prevent a Customer from logging in to an existing account to make another booking.

Creating custom booking statuses
Back to topAnother option is to create a custom booking status to flag the Customer as blocked. You can then apply the status to the Customer's past bookings.
This does not stop a Customer from booking. However, the status shows in the Customer's booking history, informing Staff of the issue.

Custom website blocklist process
Back to topAn alternative method is to set up a blocklist process on your custom website that takes Checkfront bookings.
For the best process to block Customers, we recommend speaking with your hosting company or website developer.
