Gift Certificates - Discounts

I am new to Checkfront and love all the functionality I have used so far but have come unstuck with a discount promotion I have just initiated.  Customers are not able to apply the code to purchasing gift certificates which is something we would love our customers to be able to do from time to time.

  While we're unable to apply discounts to gift Certificates I can certainly see how this would very useful for offering promotions on Gift Certificates and I empathize with you on this.
  
  I've since gone ahead and submitted this feedback with our team on ways we can improve the Gift Certificate experience!

  Paula, Kristi, and anyone else interested,

  Applying discounts to Gift Certificates IS currently possible, but only as a workaround. I reached out a year ago (May 2020) and Angela Bublitz from Checkfront provided me with the steps to achieve it. I was followed up with that same month by Raelle Hunter from Checkfront who informed me that it was one of the features that was selected to be implemented; no timeframe, of course, so hoping sooner than later.

  It is not the most ideal, but it works. However, because I prefer to use the embedded widget to keep customers on my site, it becomes quite cumbersome for those using the Safari browser. You can see how it is integrated on my WEBSITE (view the video at the bottom of the page).

  Hi - I REALLY don't like the workaround.  I use the detail page with tabs and it just doesn't look right from a customer viewpoint.  Perhaps if we could customize which booking format we want based on the item category it could work for me, but as it is it does not.  Please consider adding the ability to discount gift certificates!!

  +1 for adding this to the near-term roadmap. We would use this this feature if check front team implemented it.
