Calendar no longer shows Item Events
The new monthly calendar no longer displays entries for Item Events like the old one did. I asked how to turn it back on and was told that showing unavailable dates is no longer available on the new calendar.
It seems we're also losing some of the original basic functionality. Can we get Item Events back please?

Thank you. I use the calendar as a quick way to determine inventory availability. Losing the Item Events means I would have no way to check that inventory is available for call-in customers without starting a booking and discovering it that way. Considering there are still limited options for preventing overbooking of resource still, I really rely on that view staying around.
I'm fine with the changes as long as the old calendar remains. The new calendar has some downgrades in terms of usability and features.

I just want to clarify that we are speaking about the same calendar as the Calendar > Inventory did not previously show any details around item events. Whereas the Calendar > Monthly view provides insight into any item events that are active but does not provide insight into inventory levels in the same way that the inventory calendar does.
Can you clarify
1) exactly what calendar you are referring to
2) where you are expecting to see item event details that impact your specific configuration's ability to prevent overbookings.
Perhaps opting out of the new calendar view and taking a screenshot of exactly what you understand as missing and where it's missing from would be helpful for us to provide this exact feedback to our teams. -
Yes, I can see how I was unclear. I'm talking about the old Calendar > Monthly (which did show Item Events) which is merged into Calendar > Inventory (which no longer shows Item Events). My desire is to have a monthly calendar view which shows bookings and closures (Item Events) on the same screen.
I also noticed that there is a checkbox on the new Calendar which is labeled "Show all bookings" but it doesn't appear to do anything. It would be great if this checkbox would actually show all bookings (including unlocked-inventory quotes and cancelled events). I use the monthly calendar instead of the Dashboard so optionally showing everything would be useful. I can't figure out what that checkbox is supposed to do yet.

Phillip Hullquist: regarding the "Show all bookings" checkbox, it allow to display more than 5 bookings per day. (as mentioned in the thread above)

Phillip Hullquist, Turns out we were on the same page to begin with. To clarify, the Calendar > Booking view is the view intended to replace the Month Calendar. You can enable that at the top of the Month Calendar page right now but the limitations around Item Events not displaying still stands and as I mentioned, we have elevated to our Product team.
As for the checkbox for 'show all bookings' and as Dedric stated, this would help for days when you have more than 5+ bookings. By default, we'd collapse some of the bookings to help with the view but if operators want to see them all they can with that checkbox. -
I totally agree with Dedric, please do not remove the old calendar (Calender - Month view) and also not the item events! It's a way of having a clear overview of what's going on at a specific day, if for some reason we're not offering something or we are! So if there's a way to get them visible again, I'd love to know how! Thanks

Just stumbled across this thread and totally agree. I am new to checkfront and have found the lack of seeing one calendar that has bookings and closures in one view is a challenge for my staff doing sales. Had no idea it was a feature before that was dropped. Hope they consider adding it back, would bring checkfront from a 99.5% to 100% for me. (am thrilled with CF)
