    I think it is meant to be still in "shopping" mode after adding the first item and you are supposed to just add an additional item with the menu item on the left.  However, I would agree that the request for customer details below the cart after adding the first item is not ideal.  Many customers don't even notice the "add an item" option on the left and get confused.  

    If there was a clearer separation between adding items to the cart and then entering your details I think this would be much more intuitive.  It would also be better aligned to the normal shopping, then details and then payment steps that we are all used to when shopping online.

    Thanks for the feedback!

    While improving the guest booking/shopping experience is certainly on our Product team's radar we do not currently have a timeline on when those improvements could be made.

    However, I did want to pop in and share a tip that might help for now. You can apply a new label and a bit of custom CSS to hopefully encourage customers to click that button as needed. Please check out this related post.

    Is there sound on that demo? It seems silent. Trying to follow these instructions. Maybe it will help. It won’t be ideal but will help.

    This only changes the button on a desk top I believe. Is that possible?

    Hi Stephanie,
     
    This will change the label for the +Add to Booking button on the booking page on all device types including mobile devices using Checkfront.
