Add a "compulsory" item "Delivery and Collection charge" for orders less than a certain value.

Hi, I rent out golf clubs and need to charge a compulsory amount for delivery and collection of golf clubs unless the order is valued at £400 or greater. This is a flat charge of £40 irrespective of the amount of clubs in the booking.

At the moment I have "Delivery and Collection" configured as an item, but most customers don't add this to their booking. What I would like to have is that the "Delivery and Collection" charge is automatically included in the booking, but deleted if the order value is £400 or greater. Is this something which could be investigated/implemented?

yes, similar thing here.

many of us have asked (for years !) about a delivery option for Checkfront. or at least the possibility to have a mandatory item...

I'm sure many businesses would have different requirements as to how this mandatory item's amount needs to be calculated (flat fee or percentage, always or only if below/above a certain amount, etc...) but even a basic feature (to begin with) would be better than no feature...
