Change Default Value to 0 for Quantity
Greetings... just launched our site this week and getting all the expected questions and more form the users.
On the Booking Page when you select an item to book, the popup window comes up and shows quantity selection for those who can book the item. See screen capture with RED box around who can order it. The list is alphabetical and sets a default quantity to 1 for the first item on the list. See the GREEN box in the screen capture.
My questions:
1) Is there a way to change the default value on the first item to zero '0'? If so how?
2) If you can't change the default value to zero, can I change which item gets the value of 1 instead?
TIA!

Hi there,
Isadora here from Checkfront support. Thanks for reaching out, I'd be happy to lend a hand with this. 😁
Editing the arrangement of Guest types is not yet a functionality we offer. This means that at the moment, it is not possible to have the default quantity of all guest types set to 0 as the Product Builder (V4) requires at least one guest type to have a default quantity of at least 1.
For v4, it looks like this is explicitly prevented. If no parameter has any value, then the first Guest Type will be set to '1'. As this defaults to the first Guest Type, one possible solution to the issue is to recreate the Guest Types since the default setting is for the first type, keep in mind that the first guest type is the one created first, not later.
I've submitted the request for our dev team to review the possibility of revisiting how the v4 API behaves for 0 qty bookings, and if there are any updates there, I'll be sure to let you know.
I'm sorry this didn't quite work out in the ideal way as planned! Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Best,

Hi Dee,
Colton here, with Checkfront Support.
We'd be glad to take a look into this for you. As account configurations can be highly individualized, I think we should take a deeper look into this.
Could you reach out to support@checkfront.com with this extra information:
- Your Checkfront account's URL
- The name of the item or product you'd like to book
- Any relevant booking IDs
Thanks! We're looking forward to helping out.
All the best,
Colton
