Create and edit Bookings permissions vary by category.
I would really like to be able to change the user account permissions so that a user could create and edit bookings within one category but not another.
This would help me manage our bookings better so that I can allow users to create bookings for certain items where rules are in place - so for example they will just be able to create bookings on the day so the system works better as a point of sale as well as a website booking system.

Hey Joanna,
Thanks for submitting this feedback!
User Accounts are able to be restricted to specific items or categories which would ensure the user only has access to those items for booking/invoicing purposes. For more information on this, please see: Staff Accounts: Permission Settings
If you were referring to some other functionality or feature, please feel free to respond and elaborate on what that would entail.
Thanks again! -
Hi Amy,
I probably haven't explained in detail - what I mean is say for example I have two categories and I want the user to be able to see all the categories but they only work in one area (category) and I don't want them to be able to have create and edit permissions for all of the categories I can't do this. If the user has view and create and modify permissions and I give them access to multiple categories they have this whole permission set throughout all of the categories whereas I would like to be able to refine this so that some categories they could only have view permission whereas others they could create and modify.
:-) This would be really useful for us.

Hey again, Joanna, thanks for clarifying!
To ensure we're on the same page, what you are hoping for is to allow staff and partner accounts to have View permissions for certain items/categories that are separate from their ability to Create and Edit bookings for items in those categories.
Is that correct?
