Working with asset categories
The following columns of information are available within the asset category list.
| Value | Description | Example |
| ID | A system-generated numerical ID used to identify your asset categories in various places throughout Checkfront. | 1, 2, 3... |
| Name | The name of your asset category. This value is not visible to the Customer, but is for internal asset organization. | Tour bus, Kayak |
| Description | The description of your asset category and the associated assets. | 25-seat shuttle bus with wifi and USB charge ports. |
| Asset Pools/Groups | The total number of different asset types that you have within the category. | For example, two different types of Tour Buses (single-level and double-decker) would be two separate asset pools/groups. |
| Assets | Represent the total number of available assets in an asset category. | Six single-level tour buses plus four double-decker tour buses equals 10 tour buses in total. |
Sorting category list columns
You can click a column header within the Asset Categories to sort the rows for that column alphabetically or numerically.
After clicking, a small arrow appears in the header cell, as seen above.
- If the arrow points up, the system displays the data in ascending order.
- If the arrow points down, the system displays the data in descending order.
You can refresh the page to reset the column back to its original state.
