Locking items in booking notices from external channels (items only)
|
Important! The option to 'Lock items in booking notices from external channels' is a vital step and must not be missed (for those using items). This option tells the system that when a booking is received from an external source, the inventory should be locked so no one else can book it. You may have to deal with overbooking situations if you don't select this option. This setting does not apply to those using products, as products are automatically locked when auto-imported. |
|
Learn more For a detailed look at how this feature works when reviewing external bookings for import, check out the following article: |
Canceling imported bookings with cancellation notes
With this setting enabled, bookings imported into Checkfront are automatically canceled if canceled in the external channel, with the |exceptions noted below.
|
Airbnb (ical) does not support cancellations to Channel Managers, and myallocator is unaware of calendar channel cancellations from Flip Key and VRBO, so these cancellations are not synced to Checkfront. In these cases, you need to manually update the inventory in Checkfront. |
Attempt to auto-import bookings if no errors are found (items only)
With this setting enabled, the system automatically attempts to import the item booking if no errors are found.
|
Option available for accounts using items only This feature is only available for accounts using items, as products are automatically imported. |

Using item rules with myallocator (items only)
The following Item Rules (Inventory > Rules) work with this integration.
- Maximum duration per item
- Minimum duration per item
- Forward booking window (if used on a default ruleset)
|
The Cutoff rule and availability The Cutoff rule also works, but may not be consistent. "Do not accept bookings later than X number of days/hours before the start date. Units of time follow the item’s allocation." The cutoff correctly affects availability, but whether or not this shows up in myallocator depends on whether we have sent new availability today. We only automatically sync availability when something changes. Availability is not synced daily. Manually clicking on the Update button (Manage > Integrations > Myallocator) daily should help with this. |
