As your list of Item Events grows, it can be helpful to filter it by category. This allows you to focus on only the events that apply to a specific set of items—for example, tours, rentals, or accommodations, without scrolling through your entire event list.

- Your account must have access to classic items (Inventory > Items), a key feature of our Classic Items version of Checkfront.
Sorting item events by category
- Go to Inventory > Item Events.
- At the top of the list, click the Category button.
- Choose a category from the drop-down menu.
The list updates instantly to display only the Item Events connected to that category.
Why this matters
Sorting by category is especially useful if you manage:
- Different product lines (e.g., rentals vs. guided tours).
- Large inventories with dozens of seasonal or special events.
- Team workflows, where certain staff only oversee events in their assigned category.
Filtering by category organizes your workspace, ensuring you can quickly review or edit only the relevant events.
