- Your account must have access to classic items (Inventory > Items), a key feature of our Classic Items version of Checkfront.
Sorting item events by type
- Go to Inventory > Item Events.
- At the top of the list, click the Type button.
- Choose from the drop-down menu: Seasonal, Special, or Closure.
Sorting by type instantly filters the list so you only see events with your selected type.
Understanding Item Event Statuses
- Seasonal Events—Set availability and pricing for longer timeframes, such as high and low seasons. For example, in the Peak Season (July–August), higher rates are required.
- Special Events—Short-term promotions or overrides that supplement seasonal settings, such as a Holiday Weekend Discount or Black Friday Special.

Closure Events – Used to block availability completely during a set period. Example: Closed for Maintenance from October 1–15.
