How to translate app content (high-level steps)
Find a shared translation to use, or make a custom copy for your private account-use only.
If you have made a custom copy, you can update the string values to suit your needs.
Change your system-wide language (Manage > Setup > Locale) to point to your new translation, e.g., English (Copy).
Translating app content
In the previous article in this series, we discussed how to translate your Booking Pages into one or more languages using Translate Content (Manage > Languages > Translate Content).
However, your account's default system-wide language (e.g., English) is set via the Language setting (Manage > Setup > Locale).
You can also use a shared or private translation as your system-wide language, as detailed below.
You can find the list of system translations under the Translate App tab of the Language settings.
We support several translations of these languages - copies of translations, both shared and custom (private).
Shared Translations
You can view a shared translation to see if it meets your needs, but you won't be able to edit it. To edit a shared translation, you must make a custom copy, as detailed below.
Custom Translations
You may wish to phrase a language string slightly differently to better align with your branding or other business needs.
To do this, you can create a private, custom language translation for your account and make changes without impacting other Customers' accounts, as follows:
- Click the Make Copy under the Actions column.
- You can then type your translations directly into the fields under the Value column.
- Click outside of a field to save the translations automatically.

Search for strings You can also use the search box at the top of the list to look for specific language strings. e.g. references to 'waivers'. |
