Managing start date settings for booking page layouts

Guide Customers toward the most relevant booking dates. The Start Date Advanced setting automatically shifts the booking calendar’s initial view forward by a set number of days. This option helps reduce confusion over unavailable dates, allowing Customers to manually select earlier dates if needed.

Advancing the start date

You can automatically advance the calendar's start date X number of days from the current date. Customers can still select an earlier day, but this prompts them to look a certain number of days ahead, which you control.

 

How to configure start date advancement

  1. Go to Manage > Layout > Booking Page.
  2. Scroll to the Start Date Advanced section.
  3. Enter the number of days you want the calendar to advance (e.g., 1, 2, 7).
  4. Click the Save button to apply your changes.
  5. Preview or test your Booking Page:
    • Check that the calendar now opens on the advanced date.
    • Confirm that earlier dates are still selectable.

For example

If today is May 1 and you set the Start Date Advanced to 2, the calendar opens on May 3. Customers can still choose May 1 or May 2 if availability exists.
