The advanced settings give you more control over how your Booking Page behaves. You can completely turn off the Customer-facing page, which is useful for pausing public bookings, performing maintenance, or enhancing security. You can also specify if the system automatically adjusts selected booking dates if unavailable dates are in the selected range.

The Disable the Customer-facing reserve page option under the Advanced setting allows you to turn off the hosted Customer Booking Page (Customer > Customer Booking Page) and website-embedded Booking Widget (Manage > Integrations).
With the setting selected, you can only make bookings through manual Staff bookings or the back end of the Checkfront API.
How to configure advanced settings to turn off the reserve page
- Go to Manage > Layout > Booking Page.
- Scroll to the Advanced Settings section.
- Select the Disable customer-facing reserve page checkbox.
- Click the Save button.
- Test your Booking Page. If turned off, the public page and embedded widgets should no longer display booking options.
Auto-adjusting available dates
With the Auto-adjust to selected dates setting, you can choose to display the nearest available date range when the Customer selects a booking date range that is unavailable.
For example, a Customer selects December 24 - 28; however, December 26 is sold out, so the system displays the dates as available and changes the date range to December 24 - 25.
- If you have turned this setting off, when a Customer or Staff member selects unavailable dates, the product is shown as unavailable on the booking pages.
-
If you have turned this setting on, when a Customer or Staff member selects unavailable dates, the system adjusts the end date to the next available date, provided the start date can be booked.
Note: The system also checks for any applicable booking rules from the booking modal. If any applied booking rules cannot be met, the system displays the relevant error message.
