Managing introductory text for booking page layouts

Welcome your Customers or highlight important information at the top of your booking page. The Introductory Text setting allows you to add a custom message above the booking portal, ideal for promotions, policies, or simple instructions.

Introductory Text section The Introductory Text section is only shown on the Detail Booking Page layout, not the Hero Booking Page.

The system displays the value you enter in the Introductory Text text area above the calendar and inventory listing on your Booking Page for your Customers to see before making a booking.

It's an excellent opportunity to highlight any special deals or essential instructions you want your Customers to see. A simple welcome is also welcoming!  

How to add or edit the introductory text

1. Go to Manage > Layout > Booking Page.
2. Scroll to the Introductory Text section.
3. Enter your message in the editor box.
4. Click the Save button.
5. Preview your Booking Page to confirm the text displays correctly.

Formatting after copy/paste The formatting sometimes carries over when pasting existing text into the text editor. There are two ways to remedy this if the behaviour is not wanted: Copy text from a different document, paste it into an external text editor, and then paste this “plain text” into the Checkfront editor. This removes any of the font types or size styles attached. You can remove carried-over text styles from within your current editor by directly editing the HTML as needed from the editor’s <> menu button.
