How do I start using waivers? For high-level step-by-step instructions, please see the following article: |
Using the Public Document Directory
Offering walk-in service for your business and requiring Guests to complete a waiver before proceeding? You can direct Guests to your Public Directory on a tablet (or desktop computer) connected to a printer.
- From the Public Directory, the Guest selects the waiver relevant to their booking, then clicks the blue Sign Document button to continue.
- Once a Guest fills out, signs, and submits a document, they see a confirmation page with options to Print Document, Print as PDF, and Return to Document Directory.
Accessing the Public Directory
Access the directory by clicking the Public Directory link in the left sidebar.
The directory can also be found at: https://yourcompany.checkfront.com/reserve/documents/directory/
If you want to hide a template from this directory, you can do so from the Configuration section of the template.

Filling out documents through the Public Directory A document filled out through the Public Directory does not attach automatically to the Guest's booking. A Staff member must manually attribute the completed waiver when editing the booking. Find out more about these steps here: |
Using the Kiosk Directory
The Kiosk Directory lets you present a list of documents on a public, shared device, such as a display without an attendant.
- As with the Public Directory, the Guest must click the blue Sign Document button beside the document name to continue.
- Once a Guest fills out, signs, and submits a document, they automatically return to the Document Directory after a 10-second countdown on the confirmation page.
- The Guest can click the Return to Document Directory button before the countdown ends to go back immediately.
The device is then ready for the next Guest.
There are no options to print or save the document as a PDF from the Kiosk view.
Accessing the Kiosk Directory
The Kiosk Directory is listed within the left sidebar beneath the Public Directory.
The directory can also be found at:https://yourcompany.checkfront.com/reserve/documents/directory/?kiosk=2
