Creating product closures from the product closures index
Follow these steps to set up product closures from the Product Closures index:
- Go to the Product Closures index (Inventory > Product Closures).
- Click the Create Closure button to open the Create Product Closure modal.
- Enter the Name of your product closure in the field provided, such as Fall/Winter Closure or Staff Training Closure. Once saved, you can change this value.
- Select the applicable Date Range for the product closure, for example:
- Fall/Winter Closure: 10/01/24 --> 01/31/25
- Staff Training: 08/15/24 --> 08/21/24
- Specify the closure Schedule. You can close availability for your product on Everyday, Weekdays, Weekends, or according to your Custom dates selection.
-
Turn on the Apply To Specific Timeslots toggle if you have any product configured with timeslots, including timeslots for draft products. Use the Timeslots dropdown menu to select which timeslots you need to close. This toggle is off by default.
Applying a product closure to timeslots
- The Apply To Specific Timeslots toggle is not visible unless you have previously created Timeslots products.
If you turn on the toggle, you can open the Timeslots menu to see all the timeslots that apply to those products at once.
When you select one or more Timeslots products to apply the closure to, the Timeslots menu shows only those timeslots that apply to the selected product(s). - A product closure applies to all timeslots by default if the Apply To Specific Timeslots toggle is off.
- To block the full date in the booking calendar, select all applicable timeslots or turn off the Apply To Specific Timeslots toggle.
For example, you can limit the number of available timeslots daily during the off-season.
Also, you could block off all timeslots during weekday Staff training (Monday to Friday). - The Apply To Specific Timeslots toggle is not visible unless you have previously created Timeslots products.
- Select which inventory the closures apply to by selecting products (or categories) from the Apply To setting. You can:
- Select one or more products or categories by checking the box next to the category or product listing.
- Click the Select All button to apply the product closure to all your products.
- Click the Select None button to clear all selections and start again.
- Click the Save button to save your changes.
-
Confirm that you can see the new closure listed within the Product Closures index.
