What more do I need to use this feature?
- Admin permissions to manage inventory or restricted permissions to View Products and Assets and Manage Products and Assets.
- Duration rates are available for those using All Day, Nightly, and Flex Time only, not Timeslots.
Which Checkfront version supports this feature - classic, new or both?
- Your account must have access to products (Inventory > Products), a key feature of our new version of Checkfront. This feature is not available for use with items (Inventory > Items) in our classic version. → Learn more about products.

Archiving preserves the applied product's settings, but the rate is no longer applied to product pricing. Any custom rates applied to historical bookings are preserved, not removed once archived. |

Back to topTo archive a duration rate from a product, you have two options.
Archive duration rates via Custom Rates
Back to topTo archive a duration rate via Custom Rates (Inventory > Custom Rates), start by clicking on the name of the duration rate to open the Duration Rate modal.
From the Duration Rate modal, click the Archive option within the footer of the modal.
Once you confirm that you want to archive the product, the duration rate is disabled and archived.
Archived rates are labelled as such within the Custom Rates list (Inventory > Custom Rates). You can filter the Custom Rates list by status to find or hide your archived rates.

Back to topTo archive, a duration rate from the product to which it is applied, start by navigating to the Pricing tab of the Product Builder.
From there, click on the pencil icon of the rate you want to archive to open the Duration Rate modal.
From the Duration Rate modal, click the Archive option within the footer of the modal.
Once you confirm that you want to archive the product, the duration rate is disabled and archived.
Archived rates are labelled as such within the Custom Rates list (Inventory > Custom Rates). You can filter the Custom Rates list by status to find or hide your archived rates.
How do I un-archive a duration rate?
Back to topFollow these steps to un-archive a rate...
- Navigate to Custom Rates (Inventory > Custom Rates)
- Click on the name of the rate to open the archived duration rate in edit mode.
- Toggle on the enabled control from the footer of the modal.
This also enables the duration rate for any applied products.
