If you have an item whose settings, pricing, or availability are mostly the same as another, you can copy it to save time. The copied item retains many of the same settings, so you only need to adjust what’s different.

Where can I find this feature using the top menu?
- Inventory > Items > Edit Item > More > Copy
What more do I need to use this feature?
- Admin permissions to manage inventory or restricted permissions to View Items and Manage Items.
- You wish to reduce repetitive tasks, saving time and energy!
Which Checkfront version supports this feature - Classic Items, Classic Products, or both?
- Your account must have access to classic items (Inventory > Items), a key feature of our Classic Items version of Checkfront.
Copying an item
To copy an item, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Item (Inventory > Items) you need to copy.
- Locate the item you want to duplicate and click the item's name to open its edit view.
- Select Copy. This creates an unsaved copy of the item.
- Edit any fields that must be unique (such as the item name or SKU), and adjust other settings (images, pricing, availability, etc.) to avoid conflicts or duplication.
- Once you're satisfied, click Save to save the new item.
