Configuring settings within the locale tab
The Locale tab is where you set your timezone, base currency, and system-wide language.
Setting your timezone
With the Timezone setting, you can specify your business location's time zone. This is important because it can affect notification schedules and other time-based features like event rulesets.
Setting your base currency
With the Base Currency setting, you can set the global operating currency for your Checkfront account. You can offer pricing to your Customers in one currency, so choose wisely when you select your currency, especially if you have multiple business locations and a global clientele.

Selecting your locale
The Locale dropdown field may contain multiple locale options based on the language you selected in the previous step. Many countries worldwide speak the same languages, but sometimes use different formats for numbers, currency, and dates.
The locale field enables you to select the most suitable number and currency formats for your location.
As shown in the example above, when selecting the English language, you see multiple locale options ranging from Great Britain and the United States to Australia and Hong Kong.
Please select the option that best suits your needs, and if necessary, customize the date and time formats in the next step.
Formatting date and time
The system determines your date and time display format by the locale you chose in the previous step.
We recognize that not everyone operating in the same locale prefers to format their dates and times in the same way, so we allow you to override these settings to something you find more suitable.
As shown above, you can override this by changing the formatting via the Date Format and Time Format dropdown menus.
