Uploading, editing, and deleting gift certificate thumbnails
When you have finished configuring gift certificate description settings (as described in the previous articles), click the Next button at the bottom right of the screen. This brings you to the Media tab. Let's start by looking at thumbnail image settings below.
Uploading the gift certificate thumbnail image
By default, gift certificates display a blue wrapped-gift image. While this image works for most accounts, you may want to upload your own thumbnail to better reflect your brand or visually differentiate multiple certificate types.
- Go to Inventory > Gift Certificates and open a template.
- Navigate to Details > Media.
- Click the +Upload Image button.
- Select the image from your computer.
- Once the image is loaded, the system resizes it to fit the thumbnail size.
|
Images are resized Images are resized to fit the 320x80 pixel thumbnail size. If your image doesn't fit this ratio, don't worry...you can edit what is displayed. However, an image larger than this yields better results when displayed on the screen. Try making it at least twice as big if you can. |
Editing the gift certificate thumbnail image
To edit the gift certificate thumbnail, follow these steps.
- Go to Inventory > Gift Certificates and open a template.
- Navigate to Details > Media.
- Hover your mouse over the new gift certificate thumbnail.
- Click the Edit Image button. A pop-up window opens containing the Gift Certificate Thumbnail editor.
- Drag the cropping area to select the part of your image you'd like to display.
-
Click the Save button in the bottom-right corner when you are finished.
If the image you chose already has dimensions in the same ratio as the original thumbnail, then you do not need to do any cropping.
Deleting the gift certificate thumbnail image
Do you need to remove the gift certificate thumbnail?
- Go to Inventory > Gift Certificates and open a template.
- Navigate to Details > Media.
- Hover over the image
- Click the trash can icon.
- Select the Yes, Delete button to remove the image.
After deleting the thumbnail image, the gift certificate reverts to the default Checkfront image unless a new image is uploaded.
