What is a QR barcode? Our QR code add-on places a booking-specific barcode on your Customer's invoice, which you or your staff can scan with a mobile device to check your guests in and out quickly. |
Scanning a QR barcode in the Android mobile booking app
- The QR Code scanner is located at the top of the app home screen, on the right-hand side. Tap this button to activate the scanner.
-
You may need to grant the app permission to take pictures and record videos the first time you open the scanner. Just tap the 'While using the app' or 'Only this time' option to continue.
If you don't allow the scan, you won't be able to scan the QR code to bring up the booking details. -
Point your device's camera at the QR code on the Customer's invoice to complete the scan. You should be able to see the QR code image on your screen.
- Once the app recognizes the QR code, it automatically pulls up your booking details.
- Once the booking pops up on screen, the Staff member can tap the Check-In Switch, and the Customer is checked in when applicable.
