Providing detailed descriptions for your products

With this article, you can learn how to provide a description of your product within the Details tab of the Product Builder.

Where can I find this feature using the top menu?

Inventory > Products > Products > Add Product/Add New Product/Edit Product > Details

What more do I need to use this feature?

• Admin permissions to manage inventory or restricted permissions to View products and assets and Manage products and assets.
  
  

Which Checkfront version supports this feature - classic items, classic products, or both?

• Your account must have access to classic products (Inventory > Products), a key feature of our classic products version of Checkfront. This feature is not available for use with classic items (Inventory > Items) in our classic items version. → Learn more about products. 
   

Provide a brief description of your product offering for the Customer Booking Page.

Use our editor to format the description for display. Format the text using the options provided (format, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, lists, link, line, align, size, text colour) or work with HTML code (<>).

When pasting existing text into the text editor, the formatting is sometimes carried over. There are two ways to remedy this if the behaviour is not wanted: When you copy text from a different document, paste it into an external text editor and then paste this “plain text” into the Checkfront editor. This removes any of the font types or size styles attached. You can remove carried-over text styles from within your current editor by directly editing the HTML as needed from the editor’s <> menu button.
