What prerequisites are there?
- Admin permissions to Manage your account and Integrations.
- You must own the custom domain from which you would like to send. Generic email addresses from sites such as Gmail.com and Live.com are not supported.
Which Checkfront version supports this feature - classic, new, or both?
- The Postmark integration is available to both those using items (Inventory > Items), a key feature of our classic version of Checkfront, and those using products (Inventory > Products), a key feature of our newest version of Checkfront.

Postmark is an email delivery service that a business can use to deliver transactional emails to target Customers on time.
Outside of the Checkfront integration, they also offer customizable templates, tracking open click rates, and automatic notifications about email bounces. Postmark allows businesses to review sent, opened, or bounced emails via analytics and reports.

From time to time, you may hear from some of your Customers that they did not receive their booking confirmation after completing a reservation through your Checkfront system.
Most likely, the notification was incorrectly marked as spam. This can be frustrating for you and the Customer, so we've made it a little bit easier to combat this issue with a free email integration with Postmark, available to all account plans.
Checkfront's integration with Postmark only supports setting up notifications to send from a custom domain to improve email deliverability. Additional Postmark features such as templates, tracking, and reports are unavailable.

Notifications are sent, by default, from the address
firstname.lastname@example.org (yourcompany is a placeholder for your Checkfront account business name).
Should a Customer reply to the notification, their response is sent to the email address supplied in the Company area (Manage > Setup > Company) in your Checkfront account.
Sending notifications from custom email addressesBack to top
Should you wish to send notifications from your domain, we have integrated with Postmark so that you can configure a custom email address for use with Checkfront.
Custom email addresses are only an option for those who own the domain from which they would like to send. Generic email addresses from sites such as Gmail.com and Live.com are not supported.
This requires you to log in to your domain provider control panel and add two DNS records.
Doing so verifies that you control the domain in question and approve Checkfront to send email on behalf of that domain. If you are not sure how to do this, then seek advice from the support team at your domain provider.
The two records you must add are as follows.
This declares that our mail service (Postmark) is allowed to send email on your behalf.
DKIM TXT Record
This record verifies that Checkfront can send an email on your behalf and that the content of the email is unaltered. The DKIM TXT record is Customer-specific and is generated by our email integration.
