Creating new discountsBack to top
To create a new discount for your products, you can just click the + New Discount button on the Discounts home page (Inventory > Discounts) like in the previous article. You can then start entering the required information as described below.
More than one discount applies
The system applies the highest discount if multiple discounts apply to the same period for a membership plan or product.
For example, A product costs $100.00 with 50%, 20%, $5.00, and $80 discounts applicable to the product booking.
In this case, the highest discount of $80.00 is applied.
We recommend against adding a combination of fixed and percentage discounts to the same membership plan for simplicity.
A customer using a discount code will override any other discounts.
Specifying discount namesBack to top
You can specify a descriptive Name for the discount (e.g., June Special). This is used internally for reporting and is seen by the Customer on their invoice.
Be sure to give your vouchers and all discounts descriptive names to help you find them in internal reports, for example, Summer Promo 10% Per Booking, After Tax.

Selecting how to apply discountsBack to top
For those using discount codes or voucher codes, you need to select how to apply the discounts.
• Per Product
A discount is applied to each applicable product added to the booking.
The discount is calculated based on the current price and quantity of each applicable product booked.
For example, a discount of $5.00 for each applicable product booked (x3) = $15.00.
• Per Booking, After Tax
The discount is applied to the order subtotal after tax. For example, ($100 + 5% tax) - $10 discount = $95.00
• Per Booking, Before Tax
The discount is applied to the subtotal before tax. For example, ($100 - $10 discount) + 5% tax = $94.50
If offering a 100% discount, the Customer is still responsible for the taxes if the discount is set to per booking after tax.
If set to per product, the Customer does not owe anything upon checkout.
