Data retention after closing your account
Back to topIn accordance with our data retention policy, upon closing an account, all of your data is deleted from the system. This includes bookings/customer data, inventory, associated media, and statistics.
Data may stay in our backup rotation for up to 30 days after closing your account. |
Exporting your data
Back to topBefore closing your account or at any time during your subscription, you may Export all of your data (Manage > System > Database > Export).
Enter your account password in the Export System Data area and select Download to start the export.
Once processed, the export is emailed to your account's email address. Click the included secure link to access your export.
The export cannot be re-imported into the same or another Checkfront account. It is for external use only. |
This System Database Export (Manage > System > Database > Export) is a raw XML data file meant for other booking applications to see and use these files. For more viewer-friendly access to this data (for instance, a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or PDF), we recommend that you individually Export your Reports or the Customers Directory (Customers > Directory). The Export option and other standard actions are displayed at the upper right of each page. Further instructions are found within the help articles for the related features: |
