Where can I find this feature using the top menu?
- Calendar > Product > Calendar > Asset > Asset tab > Click on a booking within the calendar
What more do I need to use this feature?
- Admin or restricted permissions to View calendars (to view the page), View items, products and assets (to view the data within the page).
- You must configure products with an asset-based inventory type.
Which Checkfront version supports this feature - classic items, classic products, or both?
- Your account must have access to classic products (Inventory > Products), a key feature of our classic products version of Checkfront. This feature is not available for use with classic items (Inventory > Items) in our classic items version. → Learn more about products.
Accessing more information and actions
- Start by clicking on the asset listing to open a side panel with more information and actions.
- If the system has held the asset, and you have not yet assigned it (✔) to the booking(s), you can click on the Manage Assignment button to access the Daily Manifest, where you can select assets for assignment.
- If you have assigned assets to the booking(s) (✔), the system lists booking information and actions under the booking assignments. You can:
- Access the booking invoice by clicking on the booking ID
- View or change the status of the booking
- View or change the check-in status of the booking
- View booking details such as start date, end date, and payment collected versus the due date
- View associated products, for example: City Bus Tour.
You can also change the asset assignment from the Daily Manifest by clicking the Manage Assignment button.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the system showing an asset as available, even though there is an existing booking?
It is possible that you had not yet added the asset when the Staff or the Customer made the booking. Try changing the booking status to canceled, then back to a status that reserves inventory to refresh the information. Warning: Depending on your configuration, this may generate an email notification, so you may wish to let the Customer know in advance to ignore it.
