Editing asset pools
You can edit an asset pool by clicking Edit under the Actions column.
Clicking on the edit option opens the Edit Asset Pool modal, from which you can rename the asset pool, change the category, add a new asset category, increase the quantity of assets, view your asset pool total, enable maintenance time, and archive the asset pool.
Renaming an asset pool
To edit the name of your asset pool, replace the existing name with a new one, for example, Mountain Bike or Single Kayaks.
Changing the asset category of an asset pool
Change the asset category associated with the asset pool by selecting a new one from the list.
Asset categories (e.g., Bikes, Kayaks, or Yoga Equipment) allow you to generally classify your asset pools (e.g., Mountain Bikes, Shuttle Buses, Single Kayaks, Kayak Paddles - 200cm, or Life Jackets - Small), which helps to organize your assets and minimize the complexity of applying assets to products.
Adding a new asset category while editing an asset pool
When editing an asset pool, open the Asset Category drop-down menu. Type directly in the drop-down menu field. The system then presents you with the new option to Click Here or press Enter to Create {your asset category}.
Changing the total quantity of your assets
Edit the number of assets included in this asset pool by toggling up (+) the Quantity.
Because the system directly links the quantity to the assets listed in your Asset lists, you cannot decrease the quantity of assets here. Please go to the Assets list for this asset pool and archive the applicable asset(s).
|
Asset pool maximum quantity The maximum quantity for an asset pool is 10,000. |
Changing the total capacity of your assets
The option to change an asset's capacity reflects its capacity in the asset pool, indicating the total capacity of the assets, based on the number of seats or spaces the asset can support.
|
Changing capacity warning You cannot change the capacity of an existing asset pool. |
Viewing your asset pool total
This value is the total asset availability, calculated by multiplying each asset's capacity within the asset pool by its quantity.
| Quantity x | Capacity = | Total | |
| Mountain Bikes | 10 | 1 | 10 |
| Single Kayaks | 5 | 1 | 10 |
| Shuttle Buses | 4 | 10 | 40 |
| Kayak Paddles - 200cm | 25 | 1 | 25 |
This number is calculated based on Quantity and Capacity fields, so the Total is read-only.
Enabling maintenance time
To allow time at the beginning and end of each booking for asset maintenance, such as inflating bike tires, rinsing out kayaks, servicing buses, or sanitizing life jackets.
- Select the setting Enable Maintenance Time. This setting enables time controls.
- Specify the number of Hours and/or Minutes that you need.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Archiving your asset
You can archive your asset if you created it in error or if it is no longer needed. Click the Archive option in the modal footer.
|
Upcoming bookings removed for archived asset pools If you archive an asset pool, the system removes any related assignments from upcoming bookings. |
