Managing your asset pools and assets in the Asset Builder gives you control over how you organize and maintain your resources, helping you maintain accurate inventory and support smooth bookings and operations.

- Your account must have access to the classic products (Inventory > Products), a key feature of the Checkfront classic products version. This feature is not available for use with classic items (Inventory > Items) in our classic items version. → Learn more about products.
Managing your asset pools and assets
Click on the arrow at the far left of the Name column in the list of available asset pools to open the list of associated assets.
The number of assets listed matches the quantity entered when you added or edited the asset pool.
From here, you can rename assets, increase the quantity of your assets, or archive one or more individual assets.
Increasing the quantity of your assets
Increase the quantity of assets in the asset pool in focus by clicking the + Increase Quantity button. An additional setting becomes visible.
Toggle the (+) setting to add the number of assets you need. Click Save to add assets to your asset pool.
Editing the asset status of one or more assets
Edit the status of select or all assets by clicking on the Edit icon next to the + Increase Quantity button. This action displays a drop-down menu that lists the status options: Enabled, Disabled, or Archived.
You can choose a status and select more assets to update by checking the box next to the asset SKU. Finally, click Save to update the status of the selected assets.

Viewing and renaming the (Asset) SKU
The asset SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) is the unique code the system assigns to it when you add it.
The SKU can be renamed by hovering over the asset row and clicking Edit to enable the field. Type directly into the SKU field to change the name. Click Save to save your SKU name change.
You can sort the assets list by SKU in ascending or descending order by clicking on the column header.
Changing the asset status of an individual asset
The status of an asset is either Enabled (default), Disabled or Archived.
You can edit the status of an individual asset if you hover on the row of the asset and then click Edit to enable the field. Select a status from the drop-down menu, then click Save to save the change.
You can also change the status of one or more assets. Refer to the instructions above under 'Editing an asset pool'.
To help you find archived assets, you can sort the Asset list by Status in ascending or descending order by clicking on the column header.

You can also manage the asset by clicking its Asset SKU name. This action takes you to the Asset Details page, where you can edit the existing Asset SKU name.
From here, you can also determine the status of the Asset - Enabled or Disabled.
Click Archive Asset to archive the asset SKU in focus, e.g., Mountain_Bike_05.
