Reviewing the inventory calendar activity log

Keep a clear audit trail of inventory changes by learning how to access and read the activity log, so you can see exactly what was adjusted, when, and by whom directly from the inventory calendar.

Learn how to open the inventory calendar side panel and review the activity log for an inventory cell.

Where can I find this feature using the top menu?

  • Calendar > Item/Product > Inventory Calendar > Click any cell to access the side panel > Activity Log tab

  • Admin or restricted permissions to View calendars, Change Daily Inventory Availability
  • Inventory (items/products) configured within Checkfront.

Inventory booked per day or per night 

You can access more information about activity for each per Day or per Night interval by clicking any cell with booked or available inventory in your calendar. This action opens a panel on the side, allowing you to view the activity log for that date. See the animated screenshot above for an example.
 

Inventory booked with timeslots or flextime

You can view timeslots or flextime inventory calendar rows by first expanding the calendar using the arrow (>) to the left of the item/product name.

You can then open the side panel by clicking any cell with available or booked inventory to view the activity log for that date. See the animated screenshot above for an example.

Maximum Available for the Day

At the top of each timeslot and flextime product section is a row of read-only cells.

Considering existing bookings, these cells display the maximum available inventory for the day for the item in focus.

Once you save an adjustment to availability, the system logs the associated note in the Activity Log. The following information is available.

Account Activity Log

Click the Account activity log option to open the Account Activity report in a separate browser tab.

Log Entry
 
Example of activity log entry.

A log entry displays for every adjustment you have saved. Log entries include:

  • Name of the asset you have adjusted, if you are using assets, e.g., Shuttle Bus.
     
  • Summary of the change, for example:
    Adjusted from 30 to 6.
     
  • The interval you have adjusted, e.g., 04/01/26 12:00 AM - 04/02/26 12:00 AM.
     
  • Note added, for example:

    Adjusted down to 6 to meet new health requirements. [User name]
     
  • Name of the User account that adjusted the inventory, for example:

    Dev Account
     
  • Date and Time Stamp, for example:
    09/28/20 08:58 AM
