Save time by blocking unavailable dates by adding product closures directly from the Inventory Calendar so that you can close availability for specific days, date ranges, or days of the week across one or all of your products at once.

Which Checkfront version supports this feature - classic items, classic products, or both?
- Your account must have access to classic products (Inventory > Products), a key feature of our classic products version of Checkfront. This feature is not available for use with classic items (Inventory > Items) in our classic items version. → Learn more about products.
Adding a product closure
You can start by adding a product closure via the +Product Closure button at the top right of the screen. This action opens the Create Product Closure modal.
Product closures let you close off your product's availability for specific dates and days. You can also apply the closures to select categories or products.
Creating a product closure
Naming your product closure
Specify the name of your product closure, for example, Winter Closure, Weekday Closure, or Monday Staff Training. This name can be changed once saved.
Selecting the date range for the product closure
Select the date range for the product closure. For example:
- Winter Closure: 12/24/21 --> 01/03/22
- Weekday Closure: 11/01/21 --> 02/28/22*
- Monday Staff Training: 02/01/22 --> 02/01/22*
*Your date range selections are combined with your schedule selections to get the product closure that suits your needs.
Selecting days of the week for the product closure
Specify the days of the week on which the closure applies. You can close availability Everyday, on Weekdays, on Weekends, or according to your Custom selections, e.g., Mondays only during the selected period.
Selecting timeslots when products are closed
Turn on the Apply To Specific Timeslots toggle if you have any product configured with timeslots, including timeslots for draft products. Use the Timeslots dropdown menu to select which timeslots you need to close. This toggle is off by default.

Selecting products to apply to the closure
Select the products to which the product closure applies. Your options include:
- Select one or more products or categories by checking the box next to the category or product listing.
- Click the Select All button to apply the product closure to all your products.
- Click the Select None button to save the closure without applying it to any products.
