Managing inventory availability from the inventory calendar

Learn how to open the side panel so that you can access more information about each interval within the inventory calendar, including the options to edit inventory, work with bookings, and view adjustment activity logs.

Inventory booked per day or per night 

You can access more information and edit options for each per Day or per Night interval by clicking on any cell with booked or available inventory in your calendar. This opens a panel on the side, allowing you to make edits. See the animated screenshot above for an example.

Inventory booked with timeslots or flextime

You can view timeslots or flextime inventory calendar rows by first expanding the calendar using the arrow (>) to the left of the item/product name.

You can then open the side panel by clicking on any cell with available or booked inventory to access more information and editing options. See the animated screenshot above for an example.

Maximum Available for the Day At the top of each timeslot and flextime product section is a row of read-only cells. Considering existing bookings, these cells display the maximum available inventory for the day for the item in focus.

The following information and options display at the top of the side panel to help you understand which inventory is in focus.

Features
Date in focus		This is the date/time interval in focus. This is the day you opened from the Inventory Calendar, for example, 07/31/22.
Item/Product Name		This is the name of the item/product in focus—for example, Walking Tour with a Taste of London.
Allocation Type		This is the allocation type for the item/product in focus - per day/all day, per night/nightly, per time/flex time, or per timeslot.
Number of bookings and number booked (#number of Guests)		This is the number of bookings vs. the number booked (people, spots, inventory) for the period in focus. The number of Guests is listed in brackets.
New Booking		You can create a booking anytime from the side panel by clicking the New Booking button.

The side panel contains three tabs - Inventory, Bookings, and Activity Log. The following help articles are available to guide you through each tab.

Select the inventory article that matches the inventory configuration within your account, depending on whether you are using items, simple products, or products based on assets.
