|
Maximum Available for the Day At the top of each timeslot and flextime product section is a row of read-only cells. Considering existing bookings, these cells display the maximum available inventory for the day for the item in focus. |
Editing inventory based on assets
The information displayed in the panel depends on how you have configured your inventory.
Have you configured your products with assets and resources managed within the system, e.g., ten kayaks for rent with paddles and life jackets?
Read the following to understand the information and actions available for asset-based products.
| Features | More Info | |
| Availability: Total |
This total reflects the total inventory available for the interval based on the number of primary assets associated with the product. For example, you may offer 10 single kayaks, or 10 single kayaks with the option of 5 sit-inside or 5 sit-on-top kayaks. Assets assigned by capacity Where you have assigned product assets by capacity. The number available represents the total number of spots available considering quantity and capacity, for example:
For reference purposes only The system displays this number for reference purposes only. The total changes if you adjust the base inventory or interval availability for the primary assets. Click on the option to Increase availability of resource on asset index to access the configuration page and increase availability. |
|
| Availability: Booked |
This value is the number of assets Customers or Staff have booked for the interval. For reference purposes only The system displays this number for reference purposes only when the product is associated with assets. The system updates this number as you receive or cancel bookings. |
|
| Availability: (Total) Available |
Total - Booked = Available This value is the number of assets available, excluding any booked inventory. For reference purposes only This number is displayed for reference purposes only when the product is associated with assets. The system changes this number as you receive or cancel bookings, or adjust the total available. |
|
| Shared Inventory |
|
Within the Shared Inventory section, you can find a list of booked inventory. This value includes the asset name, the total number of inventory available, and the number booked. This value is the number of assets available to be booked, calculated as the total available minus the number booked. Adjusting inventory You can adjust, reduce (-) or increase (+) quantity available for the inventory and interval in focus, as long as it is not greater than the number configured for the interval and the number of assets consumed by existing bookings. Click the option to Increase availability of resource on asset index to access the configuration page and increase availability. How can I tell the difference between primary and secondary assets? The system lists secondary assets after the primary assets. Listings are separated by an 'AND,' e.g., Kayaks AND Life Jackets AND Paddles. |
| Product Booked and Guest Allocation |
|
Product bookings If you expand the asset section, you can see the list of associated product bookings. The system displays the product name and the number of assets booked for each. Guest Allocation The system shows the guest types that the asset should be allocated to, for example, to Adults, not Children, according to your product configuration. Learn more here: How do I allocate product assets by Guest type? Booked This value is the number of booked assets for the product booking. Total Booked This value is the total booked for all listed product bookings. |
| Notes |
You can add a note when you adjust inventory. The Inventory Calendar grid shows only adjustments to primary asset numbers. You can view historical notes within the Activity Log tab or in the Activity Log report. |
